Welcome to Bleacher Report's recap of WWE Main Event. Here is where we take a look at what happened on the show, examining the winners, reactions to matches and any possible ramifications coming out of the program.

This week's show was taped as part of the European tour WWE currently has going on, so it was the first episode of Main Event that was not broadcast live since the show moved to Tuesdays on the WWE Network.

The advertised main event for the evening was supposed to be Mark Henry vs. Cesaro, but fans never actually got their match.

Damien Sandow added Sherlock Holmes to his list of characters, and Naomi managed to get some measure of revenge against the woman who put her on the shelf for a few months.

Let's take a look at what went down on Main Event this week.

Sherlock Sandow vs. R-Truth

Damien Sandow came out dressed as Sherlock Holmes, complete with the Meerschaum-style pipe, and addressed the crowd in a bad English accent, which garnered him a little heat in the process.

R-Truth came out and said he has seen some crazy stuff, including Little Jimmy, but he has never seen anyone like Sandow.

Their match was pretty average, but it lasted longer than expected, which is always a nice change for underused talents such as Truth and Sandow.

The match itself was decent, but I expected more. They had plenty of time, and we all know both of these men can do better than what we saw in this match.

Sandow actually ended up picking up a victory over Truth with his finisher, but what was most surprising was that he did not have any kind of outburst like we have seen in recent weeks.

Winner: Damien Sandow

Grade: B-

Notes and Highlights:

  • I never thought I would admit this, but I miss Little Jimmy.
  • Does Byron Saxon not know that Sherlock Holmes was a fictional character?
  • It was surprising to see Sandow wrestle in what was essentially an entire suit, minus the jacket.

Twitter Reaction:

Naomi vs. Aksana

It makes a lot of sense to have this match right after seeing Naomi suffer the injury on Total Divas where Aksana dropped a knee right into her eye on accident.

Aksana tried for the same move during this match, but Naomi avoided it and managed to pick up the win with a Rear View.

This match was slightly above-average for a Divas match, but not by much. It didn't last too long, like all Divas matches without AJ, and it had an ending that kind of came out of nowhere.

Winner: Naomi

Grade: C-

Notes and Highlights:

  • The split-leg moonsault is a much better finisher than the Rear View.
  • I like Aksana more than a lot of other people do. I think she has a lot to offer but hasn't been able to contribute in her current role.

Twitter Reaction:

Cesaro vs. Mark Henry

Paul Heyman was in the ring when the show began to talk about how he wants to change the name of the show to Paul Heyman's Main Event since he is such a great manager of main event Superstars.

Heyman tried to claim that Cesaro is the strongest competitor in WWE today, which brought out Henry to defend his nickname.

Henry ended up putting Cesaro in a bear hug before tossing him from the ring to end the opening segment of the show.

The actual match never ended up happening because Heyman talked Henry into having an arm-wrestling contest instead.

Nobody ended up winning the contest because Heyman interfered, followed by an attack from Cesaro that ended in him dumping the announce table onto Henry.

This would have been a great chance to show off some of Cesaro's strength again, but it looks like WWE wants to get some of his heat back after he has been cheered by so many for so long.

Winner: Nobody

Grade: C-

Notes and Highlights:

  • Calling Cesaro Miss Swiss Miss was a little redundant.
  • This almost seems like the start of a feud, but Cesaro is also feuding with Sheamus right now. This could end up leading to a Triple Threat U.S. title match at Payback between Henry, Cesaro and Sheamus.
