The Rockets went into the 2009 NBA draft with no selections, although they do have holes to fill.

The immediate issue would be finding a back up center for Yao to take away some of his minutes. This issue was not addressed, however.

The Rockets acquired Jermaine Taylor—the 6'4" guard from Central Florida. Chad Ford has gone on record saying he believes Taylor will be a late round steal. The lengthy Taylor is a shooting guard and a high-flyer who can create his own shot.

Hello Taylor.

Goodbye T-Mac?

With this pick, you have to believe the Rockets are going to trade away McGrady. Rumors surfaced after the first round that the Rockets tried to trade McGrady and Aaron Brooks for the No. 2 overall pick, although it is not clear who they wanted.

They also picked up Sergio Llull, a guard from Spain. With both of these pickups, you have to wonder what they plan on doing. There are several people who have been reported on the Rockets' radar, including Steve Nash, Amar'e Stoudamire, and most recently, point guard sensation Chris Paul.

The Rockets also traded a future second round pick and cash to Detroit for Chase Budinger from Arizona. The 6'7" guard will likely be a back up shooting specialist for the team.

Until anything else happens, the trades for the stars are just speculation, but it's safe to say things are shaking up in Houston.
