Ryan Giggs called time on a remarkable 24-year career as a Manchester United player on Monday, on the same day he was announced as assistant manager to Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.

Here's Giggs' open letter to fans, in which he wrote about, "a chapter filled with many emotions," and reflected on a playing career that brought 34 major trophies.
