With lucky pick number thirteen, the Indiana Pacers have chosen Tyler Hansbrough from the University of North Carolina in the NBA draft. Hansbrough is already going down in the history books as one of the greatest college basketball players and now he has the opportunity to prove himself in the NBA. No one deserves this opportunity more.

Regardless of what people are saying about Tyler not translating well in the NBA, I think Hansbrough is going to excel. Obviously the Pacers are of the same mindset. Hansbrough has the talent, the drive and the heart to succeed. He is the perfect example of someone who gets out what he puts in, and I am confident he is going to continue pushing himself.

Tar Heels coach Roy Williams, also has something to say about Hansbrough going to the Pacers. "That's a great fit," he said during an table-side interview at the NBA draft.

What's also a great fit is a Missouri boy playing in Indiana. I'm sure some Hansbrough fans from his home state are going to consider making the drive to Indianapolis to see some of his games (according to Google Maps, it's about a six hour drive from Hansbrough's hometown of Poplar Bluff to Indianapolis). That's not bad for a weekend outing.

I would like to extend a huge congratulations to Tyler Hansbrough for his accomplishments. Thanks for the memories at North Carolina, and good luck in Indiana.
