The Indiana Pacers have selected forward Tyler Hanbrough with the 13th pick in the NBA Draft. Hansbrough was a star at the University of North Carolina but some draft experts thought he was not going to be a superstar in the NBA and would fall to the bottom of the first round.

Hansbrough is the ACC all-time leading scorer and one of the greatest college basketball players in history.

The Pacers have a need at point guard and with seven potential free agents who could walk, we should see some moves from them as the draft goes on.

Hansbroughs' prolific teammates PG Ty Lawson and F Wayne Ellington were both picked by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 16th and 28th picks respectively.

Lawson was then traded to the Denver Nuggets for a protected 2010 first round pick.
