Jerricho Cotcheryis now the only receiver on the NY Jets that has a lock on a starting spot.

After 4 years of being number two to Laveranues Coles, Cotchery can finally step out into his on limelight. He has showed he can get the job done by put up 3 straight seasons of 70 or more catches.

The stats from those three seasons:

2006: 82 catches/961 yards/6 Touchdowns

2007: 82 catches/1130 yards/2 Touchdowns

2008: 71 catches/858 yards/5 Touchdowns

One thing you can pull from these stats is that Brett Favre didn't help Cotchery, and if you ask me he didn't help anyone.

He's already been able to hit the 1,000 yard so he should be able to reach those numbers again, and with a rookie QB Mark Sanchez at the helm this vet should get a lot of looks.

If the Jets go into the regular season without adding any wideouts look to seeing Cotchery as a 1,00 yard receiver and a good bet to put up more then 6 touchdowns.
