What can I say about the Denver Nuggets?

A few words come to mind.

Attrocious, sorry, terrible, underachieving, and embarassing; the perfect adjectives.

In honor of their perfomance against the Lakers, I have written a thank you letter highlighting their players and coaching staff.

Thank you Allen Iverson for picking up four technical fouls in four playoff games, your immaturity always amazes me.

Thank you A.I. for living up to your past in the playoffs; an underachiever.

Thank you Carmelo for jumping on everyone’s back Saturday and then fouling out.

Thank you Carmelo for shooting 32-88 in the series.

Thank you Kenyon Martin for your effort on Kobe Bryant, for

crying on the bench and actually showing emotion.

Thank you Nuggets strength coach, Steve Hess, for not ordering Eduardo Najera to go on a high fiber diet.  Maybe that would have helped him keep up with Kobe.

Thank you J.R. Smith for your consistent temper tantrums and your well timed miscues.

Thanks George Karl for not playing Yakhouba Diawara, supposedly the team’s best defender.

Thank you Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke for not trading to get Ron Artest, throwing away your team's chances of success in the playoffs.

Thank you Denver for giving me false hope that you could advance past the first round and stop the best player on their best team.

Finally, thank you to the entire Denver Nuggets team for making history by becoming the first 50 win team and get swept in the playoffs.

So thank you Denver, for making me look like a fool in the eyes of everyone.

By the way, I plan to do some serious soul searching this offseason.

  1. nuggets seem like a team of individuals that dont mesh well as a unit. no way you should have the number 3 and 4 scorer in the league and arguably the leagues best defensive player in camby and not win it all. the answer and mello games just dont blend well together as they are both one on one, i get mine offensive scorers and while iverson plays d, melo does nothing of the sort and neither do the nuggets as a team. thats why camby blocks 9 million shots a season because opposing players are blowing by nuggets defenders on their way to easy layups. they need to break this team up and start from scratch. fire the coach, trade iverson, something.

  2. ^ Iverson doesn't play D. He just jumps in a few passing lanes. He'll leave his man more wide open then before more then he gets the steal.

A team with that many egos (AI, Carmelo, Kenyon, Smith, Karl) will never go anywhere.

    1. I agree J.R. Smith definitely needs to go.

However, if Iverson decides not to opt out this summer, Denver should either make a big splash in the draft or by trade. By making a trade, there making a big push towards a championship.

After that, the Nuggets should play it by ear.

  3. Coach Karl is gone. No way they bring him back after letting his players walk through the final two games.

Add me to the "Dump JR Smith" club. The kid is phenomenal on offense, inconsistent on defense and looks to be oblivious to anything relating to his team. Sometimes it's tough to grow up in the public eye. Smith seems to be dodging that bullet by not growing up.

One thing is clear, Laker fans are loving Denver management!
