Kevin Durant now has his first NBA Most Valuable Player award, and Nike has released a pair of shoes that pay tribute to the Oklahoma City Thunder superstar's stellar season.
Nike and Durant worked together to create a shoe that focuses on design and the player himself.
The new "KD VI NIKEiD MVP" reflects on Durant's 2013-14 NBA MVP season. A lot of thought went into this concept, as the details show, via Nike:
His mental focus this season allowed him to cut through the clutter, represented by the pixelated KD VI NIKEiD MVP graphic. Key stats from the year—including Durant's 31+ points per game scoring average, 41 consecutive game streak scoring 25+ points and two 50+ point games—appear through an intentionally blurred graphic that becomes clear with these bright stats.
Here are a few more looks at the sneaker:
Those who want this shoe are in luck. Nike has already released it, so fans can purchase it for $180 immediately.
