Roman Abramovich will be returning to Russia with Chelsea in tow in the UEFA Champions League Final.

In a dramatic semi final that included penalties, own goals, disallowed goals and injury time equalisers, Chelsea are the team that have come out on top.

And it was tense up until the last minute of extra time. Ryan Babel's 35 yard screamer made sure of that. It gave Liverpool a glimmer of hope. But something they couldn't expand on.

However, it was ultimately Chelsea's big Ivorian that was the difference—Didier Drogba.

And this is what has annoyed me most. Not the loss, not the fact that, over the two legs, we deserved to win the tie, it's the fact that it was a man who I believe to be a disgrace to football settled it.

There's no doubt of his quality as a footballer, but the amount of times he goes down to the slightest touch is just despicable.

He has the strength to hold off almost any defender in England, but he chooses to go down, and if he doesn't get the decision? He rolls around, clutching his leg. And if he still gets nothing? Why, he suddenly develops super-human healing powers.

You may have guessed that I'm bitter, but I still believe that he represents everything wrong with football today.

Still, Chelsea are through to the final and there's nothing anyone can do about it, so we just have to sit back, relax and watch the dullest Champions League Final ever.

  1. Your right, your just bitter mate. Get over it.....

  2. Funnily enough, it's not just the Liverpool fans who will be glad to see Drogba gone.
