The NL Central hosted three 90-win teams in 2013. The Milwaukee Brewers weren’t one of them, so all can be forgiven for not having them on the radar heading into 2014.
But a quarter of the way through the season, there they are at 25-14 and in first place in the division. All thanks—or mostly thanks—to good pitching. Thus far, the Brewers have had one of the five best staffs in the league.
It’s Milwaukee’s offense that’s going to need a few patches for the Brewers’ hot start to last. Here with some thoughts on that is MLB Lead Writer Zachary D. Rymer, who is looking for one Brewers slugger to stay healthy, two young guns to heat up and for a certain bat to be acquired somewhere down the line.
