The Chicago Blackhawks have survived and advanced.
They defeated the Minnesota Wild 2-1 in overtime on a sensational goal by Patrick Kane, and that gave them a 4-2 victory in the series over their very game rivals.
While Kane ended yet another series with an overtime goal, the Blackhawks would not have gotten to the overtime period without the stellar play of goalie Corey Crawford. He stopped numerous opportunities in the second and third period that allowed the Blackhawks to remain in the game.
Kane used a forehand-backhand move to deke Minnesota goalie Ilya Bryzgalov out of position.
The Blackhawks move on to the Western Conference Final, and they will play the winner of the series between the Anaheim Ducks and the Los Angeles Kings.
