Xavi's footballing career is quickly nearing its end. The 34-year-old will likely not be wearing the Blaugrana shirt for much longer.

But does that mean he could join another club before retiring?

According to Ann-Marie Bojan of The Daily Mirror, English side Manchester United have been closely monitoring the situation at Barcelona and are ready to try to lure Xavi from his boyhood club this summer.

It doesn't seem likely that Xavi will ever leave Barcelona, other than retirement, but that might not stop the Red Devils from trying to talk him into it.

We will have to wait and see how this one plays out, but it's hard to image Xavi wearing another club's shirt.

After the year that Luis Suarez has had, it is no wonder why European giants are lining up in hope of getting his signature. Yet, the Uruguayan seems content to stay at Liverpool.

In a recent report from The Independent, Spanish sides Barcelona and Real Madrid are showing interest in Suarez. But though these two giants of the game are interested, the 27-year-sent a warning that he will not be leaving Anfield.

"I didn't sign any contract with clauses prioritising a certain team. Every time I read a paper linking me with a move away, I turn the page … you know what the press is like, how they speculate, and you try to not take any notice. I know what I want. My agent tells me what's there and what's not. It's more speculation than reality."
