Clemson's Trevor Booker has been mentioned in the past as the one of the best undersized big man in the country. However, in the 2010 NBA Draft, Booker may be the best power forward in all of college basketball.
Booker, who helped lead Clemson to another winning season in 2008-2009, has recently been name to the USA Basketball Junior National Team.
The 6'7" power forward, who almost single handily destroyed the Duke Blue Devils last February, can take over a game down low. Some of his blocks are incredible. His quick jumping ability allows him to stop many almost certain baskets down low.
He is also a scorer down low, from outside of the lane, and occasionally he can hit the three. A quick first step often allows Booker to get by his slower opponents for easy baskets. His quick jumping ability give him an advantage under the boards. At times, he has the opportunity to get one or sometimes two offensive rebounds before his opponent can block him out.
Booker's name will be mentioned often this season and teams should be put on notice that he is for real. If he continues to work hard, he will become more consistent. He could be the game changer in crunch time.
If Booker gets any kind of help this season in the paint, he could be the most dominant power forward in the 2010 draft.
