It was another action-packed week for Americans playing abroad, highlighted by another goal from Terrence Boyd.

On the transfer front, there's news involving Juan Agudelo, Fabian Johnson, Sacha Kljestan, DaMarcus Beasley and, possibly, Timmy Chandler.

There are also injury updates on Danny Williams and Aron Johannsson as well as a nice tribute by Hannover for retiring American defender Steve Cherundolo.

Read about all that and more in this week's Americans Abroad Wrap.

Tim Howard and Everton beat Hull City 2-0, with Howard making three saves. Everton's fifth-place finish in the EPL earned them a place in the Europa League next season.

Geoff Cameron and Stoke beat West Bromwich Albion 2-1. Cameron played his customary 90 minutes at right-back. Brek Shea did not make the bench for Stoke.

Brad Guzan and Aston Villa lost 3-0 to Tottenham. Guzan made four saves in the loss.

Jozy Altidore and Sunderland lost 3-1 to Swansea. Altidore played the final six minutes of the match.

Ze Germans

Chandler missed out on Nurnberg's final match of the season, a 4-1 loss to Schalke. If Chandler wants to continue playing in the Bundesliga next season, he'll have to find a new club as Nurnberg were relegated with the loss.

Johnson played 75 minutes at right-back in Hoffenheim's 3-1 win over Braunschweig. This was Johnson's final match with Hoffenheim as he will be moving on to Borussia Moenchengladbach for the 2014-15 campaign. Joe Gyau didn't get off the bench for Hoffenheim in the win.

Earlier this season, Cherundolo retired after a long career with Hannover. But the club took the occasion of their final match of the season to honor Cherundolo for his years of service.

John Anthony Brooks and Hertha Berlin lost 4-0 to Borussia Dortmund in their final game of the season. Brooks went 90 minutes in the loss.

In Bundesliga 2, Bobby Wood started and played 70 minutes in 1860 Munich's 1-1 draw with Union Berlin.

Alfredo Morales played the final 28 minutes of Ingolstadt's 2-0 win over Cottbus.

In the English Championship

The English Championship finished up last week, but there was still news regarding one of its American players.

Danny Williams, who is considered to be a candidate for Jurgen Klinsmann's 30-man provisional World Cup roster to be named on Monday, may not get the chance to prove himself in camp. It was reported this week that he continues to suffer from a knee injury sustained while on international duty back in March.

Elsewhere in Europe

Terrence Boyd scored yet again this week in Rapid Vienna's 5-2 win over Ried.

According to Goal.com's Ives Galarcep, Agudelo had a second attempt for a U.K. work permit denied this week (later confirmed by Stoke) and subsequently terminated (via MLSsoccer.com) his contract with Stoke City. Agudelo, who was on loan with Utrecht in the Eredivisie, is reportedly searching for a new club in the Netherlands.

Johannsson did not play this weekend for AZ Alkmaar and has been battling an ankle injury over the past few weeks.

Kljestan didn't get off the bench in Anderlecht's 4-0 win over Genk. According to MLSsoccer.com, reports also emerged this week that Kljestan, who has fallen out of favor at Anderlecht, may be on his way back to MLS with the L.A. Galaxy.

Alejandro Bedoya played 78 minutes in Nantes' 3-1 loss to Saint Etienne.

Conor O’Brien started and played 63 minutes in OB's 2-1 loss to Esbjerg.

Mix Diskerud and Rosenborg play on Monday.

South of the Border

Liga MX is over for the summer, but there was news involving Beasley. MLSsoccer.com reported this week that Beasley is contemplating a return home to MLS.
