As Roma vs. Juventus: Live Player Ratings
ALESSANDRA TARANTINO/Associated Press

Roma 0 - 1 Juventus

Juventus scored right at the very death after both sides had cancelled each other out for much of the match.

Substitute Dani Osvaldo came up with the late strike, which made the result a little unfair on Roma, who probably edged proceedings over the course of the game.

Juve now move to 99 points, which is a Serie A record, with one more match to play.

Here's how the individual players peformed:

Player Reviews

Roma

Skorupski: Could do nothing about the late, late goal, and before then he was faultless.

Torosidis: Got himself into dangerous positions when helping out in attack, and did a sound job defensively.

Benatia: Stroked the ball around nicely from deep, and largely kept Juve's attackers at bay.

Castan: Heavily involved, he distributed the ball well and covered for Bastos when he got forward.

Bastos: Trotted forward regularly with well-timed runs. Made himself a nuisance to Juventus, which is what you want from a wide player.

Nainggolan: Helped out in defence and used his explosive pace to zip into dangerous areas on occasion

De Rossi: A mellow game by De Rossi standards. There was little fire and brimstone, though he sat deep and played neat passes out of defence.

Pjanic: A joy to watch at times with his technical skill and visionary passing, he could have set up a couple of goals if not for wasteful strikers. He did fade slightly in the second half.

Gervinho: His pace caused many problems for the Juventus defence, though he was wasteful with a couple of very good chances.

Totti: Not the most memorable of games from the Roma legend, who only contributed a handful of telling plays.

Destro: Was busy in the first half and created chances for his teammates, but became less of a force as the match wore on.

Juventus

Storari: Hard to find fault in his game, he made several fine saves.

Barzagli: Made some crucial tackles in the second half to blunt the Roma attack.

Bonucci: Played some telling passes from centre-back. Like Chiellini, he occasionally looked troubled by Gervinho, but they coped in the end.

Chiellini: As always, very hard to pass one-on-one, but got done for pace a couple of times by Gervinho.

Lichtsteiner: Did the grunt work, but was very quiet offensively until late in the game. Came up with the assist for Osvaldo.

Padoin: Worked hard alongside Pirlo and showed he can fulfill that multi-tasking role in midfield with aplomb.

Pirlo: Not Pirlo's best game. The Italian international is perhaps thinking ahead to the World Cup already. There were a couple of moments of class, though, to remind us who he is.

Pogba: Also had a very quiet match by his standards, though increased his involvement late on, which helped Juve find the net.

Asamoah: A bustling performance. Did some hard work, but didn't look particularly effective going forward.

Tevez: Did not see a lot of the ball, and aside from a few deft touches, had little influence.

Llorente: Looked to crash through the Roma defence one or two times, but was largely subdued.
