With nerves of steel through his final holes, Jordan Spieth is tied for the lead going into the final day of the 2014 Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass.

Two-day leader Martin Kaymer shot a 72 to stay at 12 under par through 54 holes. A bogey on 18 left him tied with 20-year-old Spieth, who posted his third straight bogey-free day to put up a one-under 71.

There's a three-shot gap to the third place contenders Sergio Garcia and John Senden, who are tied at nine under par.

After barely making Friday's cut, Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott both laid down solid Moving Day performances and will go into Sunday at three under par.

The big story on Day 4 will be whether former World No. 1 Kaymer can win his first tournament since the 2010 PGA Championship, or if young Spieth can continue his meteoric rise to golf's top echelon.
