As the final few picks before the Giants selected in the first round of the NFL Draft were submitted, the main figures in their War Room were holding their respective breaths. General manager Jerry Reese and vice president of player evaluation Marc Ross were hoping their player would last. Wide receiver Odell Beckham was the target with the No. 12 overall pick. In particular, the Lions at No. 10 posed a threat. They were on the prowl for another pass-catching target.
