Malaga 1

Malaga goalkeeper Willy Caballero thwarted Atletico Madrid's hopes clinching the La Liga title on Sunday with a superb last-minute save at the Vicente Calderon Stadium.

Atletico had hauled themselves back into the game through defender Toby Alderweireld's header, which cancelled out Samuel Garcia's 65th-minute opener for the visitors.

After Malaga defender Marcos Angeleri was dismissed in the final 10 minutes for a second yellow card, Atletico substitute Adrian Lopez thought he had curled home the winner. However, Caballero reached out to push his elegant effort around the post.

Atletico maintain their three-point lead at the top of the table, but it is now a straight shoot-out between Diego Simeone's team and Barcelona at the Camp Nou next weekend.
