For years people have talked about great fights. Well coming up 7-11-09 will be one of the biggest nights in UFC history. Not only will it be the 100th anniversary of PPV fights, but it will host some of the greatest fighters in UFC today. Brock Lesnar will try to redeem himself against Frank Mir, who made Brock tap-out on his UFC debut, this fight will decide the Heavyweight champion. In the welterweight division we have George (Rush) St. Pierre against Thiago (Pitbull) Alves. Alves who has pretty much dominated the Welterweight division ever since coming into the UFC in 05, Alves will have one of his greatest tasks of his career fight against one of the greatest if not the greatest Welterweight fighters of all time George St. Pierre (GSP). Coming into the UFC Thiago Alves was a very dominate force in the welterweight division with his record of 22-5, when he was new to UFC his striking was better than his wrestling ability. Growing into the UFC Thiago knew he had to improve his wrestling game to become a well-rounded fighter. In his fight against Matt Hughes he showed his wrestling game improved when top welterweight wrestler Matt Hughes couldn't seem to take Thiago Alves to the ground. In that fight Alves showed why he is a new of type athlete coming to the welterweight division, but GSP with his kickboxing exp. and his fantastic wrestling ability will certainly give the Thiago Pitbull Alves a challenge coming into UFC 100 this match will also decide the Welterweight champion. This fight will go down as one of the greatest welterweight fights ever if not one of the greatest fights of all-time. UFC 100 will be a great night for UFC.
