For the Win: The Coolest Stuff in Sports for the Week

While everybody was concentrating on the NFL draft, dinosaurs came back to life and started tossing out the first pitch at Padres games.

Although, that may be a costume, and we may be a bit off on our description.

Either way, fake dinos tossing out baseballs is just one of the many cool items we have in store for you this week. From NFL players delivering wonderful gestures for the mothers to fans showing us how cheering is done, you will not be disappointed.

As always, we would love to see anything you think we may have missed or your thoughts on this brief breakdown.

This was a fantastic week, and here are some of the things that made it so darn enjoyable.

Bob's Blitz spotted this video resting comfortably in the pile of WTF that the Internet has hanging around, which is to be used only when extremely bored.

Unfortunately, we couldn't track down a great deal of information outside this being a video of a man backflipping in the same manner Sandy Koufax threw baseballs: with legendary aplomb.

We have no idea if this video has been doctored. But we assume so, because no human should be able to do this.

Now Do NBA Jam

2 of 9

This masterpiece comes from YouTuber JesserTheLazer, who produced a video that serves as a glimpse at what life would be like if we were forced to play like avatars in NBA 2K

Of course, there is no such thing as perfection, but this spoof video really comes dangerously close to just that, featuring all the frustrating hiccups we have come to expect and adore about the video game franchise.

Jimmy Fallon's Draft Stock Falls

3 of 9

Ladies and gentleman, your 2014 NFL draft No. 1 pick Jadeveon Clowney.

The biggest name at the NFL draft was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night, getting some work in.

To be more precise, he was chilling out, leaving all the hard work to the host, who tried to pull a Rich Eisen and run the 40-yard dash.

Let's just say Fallon was quite happy with his time.

At Least It Wasn't a Velociraptor

Described as a baby T-Rex, this beast from years past descended upon Petco Park, tearing up the field and wreaking havoc in the stands. It was horrible and tragic, and the monster may still be on the loose.

Just kidding. It tossed out the first pitch—and did so better than the Lakers' Nick Young

Terrific Tifo

5 of 9

It seems we here in America are doing this fan thing incorrectly.

Deadspin's Greg Howard spotted this fan tifo at a game between FC Copenhagen and rivals Brondby IF, which demanded the stands to turn into some kind of crazed performance art.

From the cannonball to the fake explosions, this all just illustrates one glaring point: We need to cease and desist with the wave, which was already quite lame.

Teddy Bridgewater Makes Good on a Promise

6 of 9

    Gosh darn those feels.

With Mother's Day quickly approaching, we thought this beautiful and poignant look at Teddy Bridgewater and his mother Rose would be fitting.

Now if you just want to watch the former Louisville and current Vikings quarterback give his mother a new car, go ahead and skip to the six-minute mark.

However, if you stick throughout the seven minutes, I guarantee you will appreciate it. The mini-documentary, directed by Spike Lee, really gives fans a glimpse of a beautiful story, which ends with quite the wonderful gift.

    Now, who's chopping onions?

That Elusive Kiss

Guyism's A. Isaac spotted this moment from a game between the AFL's LA KISS—the team owned by Gene Simmons—and the Spokane Shock.

AJ Cruz gets the ball with the entire field and a bunch of defenders in front of him. As you can see, things aren't all that bad when you have sick moves and the ability to break ankles all over the field.

Pool Dunk: The Euroleague Edition

8 of 9

Brace yourselves...summer pool dunks are coming.

Deadspin's Tom Ley reported on just the latest pool dunk video and what might be the first of the summer. If this year is anything like the last, there are millions of bros poring over schematics as we speak, hoping to craft that new viral video.

Well, stop, because this commercial rests as the best of the best. Unless, of course, you happen to have far more water jetpacks hanging around your garage.

A tip of the hat to Deadspin for spotting this cracking match taking place among three puppies. At some point, a Bolivian Liga game nearly ruined it all.

At the end of the video, a defender tries to handle one of the dogs a bit roughly, and he may have actually been bitten. Well, don't you dare hurt the puppy, because you will have to answer to Super Ball Boy.

We rather like this canine superhero.
