The Albany River Rats ended their season with a 2-0 loss against the Philadelphia Phantoms last night in the final game of their round one, playoff series. As previously mentioned, goalie, Michael Leighton was the hero of the series for the Rats, but he wasn’t quite good enough. Congratulations to Coach Tom Rowe and the rest of the Albany franchise, for making the playoffs and giving it a heck of a go.

By the looks of things, there will be three NHL teams not far behind the Rats in scheduling future “T” times. The Penguins, Stars, and Red Wings each have 3-0 leads in their respective series. I don’t remember ever seeing 3 of the 4 Conference Semi-finals ending in sweeps before. That would be something.
