Now that Sacrifice and the fallout from the pay-per-view have been sorted out, TNA Impact Wrestling will begin focusing on the build to the Slammiversary show on June 15 from the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Eric Young has sworn to be a fighting champion who will defend the title every week, and with the arrival of The Menagerie, the battle between Kurt Angle and Ethan Carter III, and the tag team ladder match for the championships, this week’s Impact Wrestling will be can’t-miss television.
Here is a full preview of what wrestling fans should expect on this Thursday’s broadcast.
Where: Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida
When: Thursday, May 8, at 9 p.m. ET (pre-taped)
Watch: Spike TV
The Menagerie Makes Its Debut in Impact Wrestling
Many exciting appearances are scheduled for Thursday’s show, but the most anticipated moment for Impact Wrestling fans will be the debut of Knux and his group of allies. They have become known as The Menagerie.
For weeks, TNA supporters have been treated to vignettes about Knux returning to his hometown in order to help with financial issues at the family carnival. To get the money the carnival needs, Knux and The Menagerie are coming to Impact Wrestling to make a splash.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Who Is Involved with This Storyline?
According to the promos that aired on Impact Wrestling over the past several weeks, Knux and his former girlfriend Rebel will not be alone when they arrive at the Impact Zone. With two characters dubbed The Freak and Crazzy Steve along for the ride, this will be absolute chaos.
While it is clear who Knux and Rebel are, a veil of mystery still surrounds the other two members. A little research on Crazzy Steve reveals a character who was part of TNA’s Gut Check segment a few months ago.
As for The Freak, that is anyone’s guess.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Storylines That Make Fans Tune In
Regardless of how this storyline turns out or who is in this stable, it is one of the most entertaining angles being developed in wrestling right now. Not only is it original and unique, but it also makes good use of a wrestler on the roster with no direction or storyline.
While many hardcore wrestling fans may complain about such a campy program, this is a midcard storyline that has the potential to be something very interesting. Kudos to TNA for taking the educated risk with The Menagerie.

Eric Young, Kurt Angle, The Wolves and More
After winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship from Magnus leading into Sacrifice, Eric Young successfully defended his title at the PPV and bounced back last Thursday to defend the belt once again against Bobby Roode.
With the ultimate fighting spirit and the desire to show TNA fans and other wrestlers that he is the best, Young will be looking to defend his title once again. The hope is that MVP or Dixie Carter will step in and stop Young from continuing to put the title on the line on free TV.
Save it for a PPV.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Is Kurt Angle a Cyborg?
Kurt Angle is one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of the sport, but he has been suffering the effects of a knee injury. With Willow doing most of the work at the PPV, the match against ECIII will be the first true test of where he is physically.
ECIII has been one of the most entertaining parts of the show each and every week, and while Rockstar Spud is annoying, he plays his role as Carter’s right-hand man to perfection. The hope now is that Angle is fully healthy and fans can finally get a match between the former Olympic gold medalist and ECIII.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Stacked Episodes of Impact Wrestling
Another exciting match billed for Thursday’s show is the tag team championship ladder match between titleholders The Wolves and The BroMans. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards recaptured the belts at the Sacrifice PPV, and The BroMans will be doing everything in their power to get the gold back around their waists.
Add DJ Zema Ion causing trouble with his laptop and horn sound effect, and there is no doubt that The Wolves and their high-flying style will steal the show in this ladder match. TNA fans are hoping another tag team debuts or makes a triumphant return.
Impact Wrestling needs depth in the tag team division desperately, but The Wolves are great enough to carry it until that comes to fruition.
