ProFootballTalk.com first reported on Sunday that Brett Favre may have signed a contract with the Minnesota Vikings. And now WCCO's Mark Rosen confirms it: Brett Favre is now a Viking.
Rosen reports the contract is heavily incentive. PFT first speculated that the announcement of Favre's signing would occur on Fourth of July weekend, when most media members are on vacation.
On April 28, the New York Jets released Favre from the reserve-retired list, officially making him a free agent.
In the following week, rumors unfolded of Favre meeting with Vikings' head coach Brad Childress.
A week later, Favre had surgery on his torn biceps tendon, and Favre was reportedly a lock to sign with Minnesota if he was fully healthy.
Now, it appears he is.
