The B.C.Lions of the Canadian Football League have begun to search for a place to play while their downtown stadium undergoes the addition of a retractable roof.

The Canadian League has adventured south of the border before as current Beavers Head Coach Mike Riley can attest. He won two championships with Winnipeg before agreeing to coach the San Antonio Texans. That team folded before playing in those bad old days, but the Lions have sound ownership. The League itself has changed since those days, too. There are new agreements with the NFL, for example, which must be addressed.

If these obstacles can be overcome would Oregon fans be interested in a visiting team coming to play an unfamiliar variation of the game for a year?
