Meet James Lozano, a 16-year-old Queens native unlike any other. After losing both his legs to amputations at eight months old, James kept believing and was determined to walk and eventually run with his prosthetics.
After accomplishing so much with the help of the Hospital for Special Surgery, James took the time and care to help speak to other families and children about overcoming amputation.
James has become an inspiration to all. A huge New York Mets fan, he recently had the chance to take a private tour of Citi Field. What he didn't know is that All-Star third baseman David Wright would surprise him for a day he'll never forget.
Thanks to Wright, the Mets and the Hospital for Special Surgery, James had a dream come true.
