Where will Christian Eriksen rank among Tottenham's best players this season?

Tottenham Hotspur finished the 2013-14 season sixth in the league with 69 points, having won 21 matches, drawn six and lost 11. Their goal difference was plus four with a tally of 55 goals scored.

In the Europa League they reached the round of 16, the last eight of the Capital One Cup and did not get past the third round of the FA Cup.

Excluding the youngsters who made just one or two appearances, a squad of 26 players featured. The following article ranks them, from those who made the least impact to the ones who made the most—acknowledging each did so in different individual circumstances.

Outside of the top few it is a difficult task after an inconsistent campaign.

Most of the players contributed good performances at one time or another, while some enjoyed genuine runs of form. Injuries were a big factor, as too was both Andre Villas-Boas and Tim Sherwood taking time to work out the best starting combination for a squad littered with new signings.

Given the difficulty in separating some of them, it ultimately and naturally came down to this writer's opinion. The other main editorial decision was to keep it to players still employed by Tottenham at the conclusion of this campaign—so no Jermain Defoe, but Lewis Holtby is included despite being on loan at Fulham since January.

Despite this article's title, given the prominent role of cup competitions in Spurs' season, listed appearances (substitute appearances in brackets), goals/saves, yellow and red cards* are tallied from all competitions played in.

Read on for Bleacher Report's Power Rankings for Tottenham Hotspur players in the 2013-14 campaign.
