The Brooklyn Nets acquired Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce last year to help them win in the postseason, so it was only fitting that the two veterans were in on the game-saving play in Game 7 against the Toronto Raptors.
Toronto trailed 104-103 with 6.2 seconds remaining in the game, but it had the ball with a chance to win. The Raptors had a tough time getting in position, which led to a frantic final play.
Garnett stepped in to knock the ball away from Toronto's Kyle Lowry, and Pierce officially ended the Raptors' season with a clutch block against Lowry:
Now that is why the Nets brought Pierce to Brooklyn.
The Raptors' comeback fell just short, and the Nets will advance to the next round to take on the Miami Heat.
