IPL Team of the Week: Featuring McCullum, De Villiers and Pollard

0 of 11

After another week of IPL action that has seen the tournament straddle nations and seen recoveries and spectacular crashes, as well as some of the season's best and closest matches, Bleacher Report has selected another team of the week.

This week saw Kings XI relinquish their unbeaten record, Mumbai finally recorded their first victory, a Super Over finish and one of the most outstanding innings in IPL history played by AB de Villiers.

Click "Being Slideshow" to find out who made the "Team of the Week."

1) Brendon McCullum (CSK)

1 of 11

This was another good week for the Kiwi half of Chennai Super Kings' new opening partnership. Brendon McCullum scored a crucial 56 in the Super Kings' win over Kolkata Knight Riders in Ranchi on Friday.

2) Ajinkya Rahane (RR)

2 of 11

Ajinkya Rahane failed in his second game of the week, scoring just 12 against the Delhi Daredevils. He did play a crucial hand against Kolkata in the match that was eventually decided by a Super Over, striking a well-compiled 72.

3) Wriddhiman Saha (KXIP)

3 of 11

The Kings XI gloveman’s 59 not out against Mumbai in a match that they eventually narrowly lost just about squeezes him into this side.

4) David Warner (DD)

4 of 11

The Australian opener was shifted down the order this week by the Sunrisers Hyderabad and has scored two 60s at his new role at No. 4. His innings have been sedately paced, but he has scored runs in a struggling batting order.

5) AB De Villiers (RCB)

5 of 11

One innings and 30 minutes of genius propels AB de Villiers into the team of the week. His evisceration of Dale Steyn and the Sunrisers Hyderabad was one of the most incredible innings ever seen in the IPL.

6) Kieron Pollard (MI)

6 of 11

Pollard played two innings this week that make him a dead-cert to be included in this XI. First, his cameo against SRH took Mumbai within touching distance of their first victory, and then days later against the Kings XI Punjab, he did take them to victory with a blitzkrieg 28*.

7) Ravi Jadeja (CSK)

7 of 11

Ravi Jadeja has been struggling for form, but he returned to it spectacularly when he took 4/12 against KKR to help CSK to victory.

8) Mohit Sharma (CSK)

8 of 11

In the same match as Jadeja’s four-fer, Mohit Sharma continued his excellent IPL with 3/22.

9) Bhuvneshwar Kumar (SRH)

9 of 11

Bhuvneshwar Kumar continues to impress this season. He took 2/17 and 2/16 this week. His death-over spell against Royal Challengers Bangalore was superb. He, unlike Steyn, managed to stop de Villiers’ surge.

10) Sandeep Sharma

10 of 11

The fact that Sandeep Sharma is the third Indian seamer on this team says a lot about how well the local bowlers are doing. Sharma took 2/29 in Kings XI's only match.

11) Yuzvendra Chahal (RCB)

11 of 11

A fourth Indian bowler completes the attack. Yuzvendra Chahal’s superb form has continued this week. He took 2/23 against the powerful Kings XI, before holding his own at the Chinnaswamy against SRH.
