Barcelona were dealt an unceremonious 2-2 draw with Getafe on Saturday, which put the Catalans in a near-impossible spot to overtake Atletico Madrid or hold off Real Madrid in La Liga.

Barcelona skipper Xavi was incredibly blunt in his assessment of Barcelona's title chances in the aftermath, telling AS (Spanish), via Goal.com:

We're f****d. We didn't have a good season, luck was not on our side and we were not competitive in many aspects. Despite the Supercopa de Espana win, we must wipe this season clear.

We have to be self-critical. Except for a miracle, we have lost the league. We have to improve a lot, but from within.
