Jose Mourinho Ignored Thibaut Courtois in Tunnel Before Chelsea vs. Atletico

Mark Patterson@@MarkPattersonBRUK Staff WriterMay 2, 2014

Jose Mourinho blanked Thibaut Courtois in the tunnel before Chelsea's Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.

Footage shows the Chelsea boss had time to meet lots of the mascots individually—and even had a hug for Atleti's Tiago, who worked with Mourinho during his first stint at Chelsea.

As for Courtois, who looked as if he was expecting to at least exchange pleasantries with the Portuguese manager, there was nothing.

The Belgium international, of course, is still technically a Chelsea player, although he has been on loan in Spain since 2011.

If it was a mind game, it didn't work, with Atletico progressing 3-1 on aggregate to the final.

For conspiracy theorists, it doesn't exactly look as if he'll be top of Mourinho's Christmas card list—or, more importantly, starting in goal next season.
