Tazz:
Welcome everyone to another edition of ECW Epics. We are only five days away from The Bash, and tonight we will find out what stipulation the ECW Championship match will be under.

Matt Striker:
That’s right Tazz. Also tonight we’ve been told that Paul London will be wrestling Evan Bourne. The battle of the Shooting Stars will be an intense one!

Tazz:
Man, I can’t wait for that one Matt! The first match will be between Batista and an opponent of Paul Heyman's choosing. I wonder which superstar it will be?

Let’s get the show started!

Match One: Batista vs. Curt Hawkins w/ Zack Ryder

Display_image

Batista's music hits and he walks to the ring as the first match is about to get underway. Batista is leaning on the ring ropes waiting to see who his opponent will be.

Music blares over the sound system and out comes... Curt Hawkins?

Batista sees Hawkins walking to the ring with Zack Ryder and throws his head back, roaring with laughter. Hawkins climbs into the ring with a determined look on his face.

The bell rings and Hawkins runs at Batista. Batista sidesteps Hawkins and pushes him into the ropes. As Hawkins comes back, Batista picks him up and hits him with a spinebuster.

Hawkins is on the mat in a daze. He sits up but is met by a big boot to the face from Batista. Batista picks Hawkins up off the canvas and connects with a thunderous Batista Bomb. He goes for the cover. 1... 2... 3!

Winner: Batista

Batista grabs a mic from ringside after the match and gets back in the ring just as Hawkins and Ryder both scurry to the back.

Batista:
What the hell was that? Was that supposed to be a challenge? Heyman, I want some answers!

Paul Heyman's assistant Tiffany appears on the titantron.

Tiffany:
Paul Heyman just wanted you to keep up your match fitness and give you a confidence boost. With what he has in store for you next week, you're gonna need it!

Striker:
What on earth could she be talking about Tazz?

Tazz:
I don't know but I sure can't wait to find out!

We cross to backstage where R-Truth is walking down the hallway. He stops in front of a door and knocks. Paul Heyman opens the door and has a surprised look on his face when he realises that it’s R-Truth.

Heyman:
What the hell are you doing? Are you mentally retarded? How can I convince you that you don’t have a job here anymore?

R-Truth:
I have a proposition for you. How about you give me another shot tonight at earning a contract?

Heyman:
No way. You had your chance last week, but you couldn’t deliver on your promise. I don’t want to hear any excuses out of you either. What’s done is done, and I can’t change it.

R-Truth:
I know that. That’s why I came to you now. If you give me this match and I lose, I’ll never to bother you again. Deal?

Heyman:
That depends. What kind of match did you have in mind?

R-Truth:
I want to face Booker T.... in a ladder match!

Heyman:
Alright, you got it. The winner of the match will get your contract. If Booker T wins, it's up to him what he does with it. But know this. If you ever, and I mean EVER, disobey my orders again, you won’t be around long enough to regret it!

Back in the arena, ODB is in the ring as we return from the break. She’s holding the Knockouts championship belt in her hand.

ODB:
Two weeks ago I retained my Knockouts championship belt in a match against Victoria. I’ll admit that it was a decent attempt by my opponent, but the better woman won.

Now that I’ve put her behind me, I can move on to bigger and better things. Hopefully my next championship will be a bit more challenging.

Victoria’s music hits and she walks to the ring in a huff.

Victoria:
You got lucky last week! I want a rematch, but this time I want it to be a hardcore match! I’ll hit you with a steel chair so hard that...

Natalya Neidhart’s music blares and she struts to the ring.

Natalya:
You had your chance Victoria. You couldn’t get the job done, so move over because it’s my turn now.

Tiffany appears at the top of the ramp with a microphone in hand.

Tiffany:
Ladies, please! If you’re so determined to rip each other’s hair out, then you can have a match right now. (Looks backstage) Get me a referee! It’s going to be Victoria vs. Natalya vs. ODB in a triple threat match!

Match Two: Victoria vs. ODB vs. Natalya Neidhart (Non-Title Match)

Display_image

The bell rings and the three women are standing there surprised that they are suddenly in a match. Natalya is the first to move and she lunges at ODB, knocking her to the ground. She turns to Victoria and points at ODB saying “that’s how you do it”.

Victoria does the same move on Natalya and Natalya gets straight up and starts yelling at Victoria. Meanwhile ODB is up and leaning on the ropes laughing at the other two fighting. Natalya and Victoria rush ODB and send her over the rope to the hard floor below.

Victoria is still looking at ODB outside and abusing her, when Natalya walks around the back of her and connects with a german suplex. Victoria’s on the mat holding her head. Natalya picks up one of Victoria’s legs and locks in a sharpshooter.

(Crowd cheers ecstatically)

Victoria is on her stomach screaming in pain as she tries to break the hold. She frantically grabs for the ring rope, but just as she gets within a few inches of it, Natalya drags her away from the rope while keeping Victoria locked in.

Victoria looks around and realizes that she won’t be able to escape the hold. She can’t take the pain any longer and regrettably taps out.

Winner: Natalya

Backstage Gregory Helms has Christian with him. They both look pretty banged up after last week’s events.

Helms:
Last week we were both victims of the sadistic madman, Cactus Jack. What do you have in store for him tonight?

Christian:
Well Greg, I still haven’t been cleared to wrestle by the medical staff. I’d like to take him on in the ring in an official match, but that’s clearly not going to happen. I spoke to Paul Heyman earlier today, but he didn’t care about the situation. That leaves me with one option.

I’m gonna go to the ring later tonight and call Cactus Jack out. I don’t give a damn what the doctors say, I’m gonna take Cactus on in an unsanctioned match!

Helms:
Are you sure that’s wise Christian? I mean you have a match against him in five days time at The Bash. Can’t you wait until then?

Christian:
Wait? You of all people should want me to get revenge for what he did to us last week.

Tell me, what did it feel like when he was jabbing you over and over and over again, not letting up until you collapsed on the floor? I don’t know about you, but I sure as hell wouldn’t want him to get away with it! I’m calling him out tonight, and that’s that.

Christian walks away as we go to another commercial break.

Match Three: Tommy Dreamer and Abyss vs. Sabu, Kane, and Raven (2-on-3 Handicap Match)

Display_image

Abyss and Kane are in the ring to start the match. The bell rings and the match has started.

Kane approaches Abyss and just stares at him, almost to his very soul. Out of nowhere he unleashes an attack, connecting with an uppercut and several hard rights. Kane chuckles and tags in Sabu.

Sabu jumps over the top rope and goes straight at Abyss. Abyss captures Sabu and hits him with a black hole slam. Abyss picks up Sabu and carries him over to a corner. He places Sabu on the top turnbuckle and puts him a tree of woe. Abyss goes to his corner and tags in Dreamer.

Dreamer climbs through the rope and leans against the ropes.

Crowd/Dreamer:
E-C-W!!!

Dreamer runs at Sabu at connects with a low dropkick. The impact sends Sabu to the mat. Dreamer goes for the pin. 1... 2... Interference by Raven to stop the count.

Dreamer stands up and gives some choice words to Raven. He turns back to Sabu and gets him to his feet. Dreamer runs and bounces off the ring rope and delivers a one handed bulldog on Sabu. Dreamer goes for another pin and yet again Raven interferes.

Dreamer advances on Raven and shoves him into the corner. Raven replies with a shove of his own and it erupts into a brawl. Kane also gets involved, landing a few elbows and uppercuts, before everyone gets in on the action.

Tazz:
This isn't a wrestling match, it's a fist fight!

The five men go all over the ring, hitting each other with lefts and rights, before a group of security rush the ring, tailed by Paul Heyman.

Heyman:
Hey! Save it for this Sunday! The last thing I need is another one of my superstars in hospital!

After a big struggle between the wrestlers and security, the fight is broken up and all the are escorted backstage.

Match Four: R-Truth vs. Booker T (Ladder Match For R-Truth's Contract)

Display_image

Both men are in the ring staring up at the briefcase above the ring. The referee signals for the bell and the match has officially started.

Booker runs at Truth and swings an arm at him. Truth does the splits and ducks under it. He follows up with a kick to the back of Booker’s head.

Truth and Booker are staring each other down from opposite sides of the ring. They both go to the outside and grab a ladder each. They both push their ladders into the ring, and then

Booker lays Truth out on the canvas. He grabs a discarded ladder and places it under Truth’s head. Booker then grabs a second ladder and lays it down on top of Truth’s head in a ladder sandwich. Booker runs the ropes and hits a scissors kick on the ladders in a con-ladder-to. Truth is motionless after the attack.

Booker grabs the ladder from on top of Truth’s head and sets it up under the hanging briefcase. Booker then climbs the ladder, struggling to get up each rung. He gets to the third rung as R-Truth starts to stir.

Truth gets up and hits Booker in the back. Booker kicks him away, but Truth is being persistent. Truth runs up to Booker and hits him off the ladder with a spinning shoulder block.

R-Truth is climbing the ladder, but Booker T’s starting to get up. Booker’s on one knee, hunched over trying to catch his breath. R-Truth climbs up the second highest rung and jumps off! He hits a huge scissors kick on Booker T!!

Booker T doesn’t look like he’ll be getting up any time soon. R-Truth gathers himself and makes a last ditch effort to get up the ladder. The crowd is really behind Truth as he inches his way closer to the case. Truth summons all his strength and desperately climbs the last few rungs. He reaches up... and grabs the briefcase!

Winner of R-Truth's ECW Epics contract: R-Truth

R-Truth is celebrating in the ring and we go to another ad break.

Match Five: Evan Bourne w/ Rey Mysterio vs. The Paul London w/ The Brian Kendrick

Display_image

There’s a heap of trash talk from London before the bell rings.

The match starts and the two competitors lock up. The two push back and forth until London breaks the hold. Bourne's momentum carries him forward and London connects with a drop toe hold onto the canvas.

London starts climbing the turnbuckles as Bourne charges at him. London jumps off the middle rope and over Bourne as he hits him with a stomp to the back of the head, sending Bourne head first into the turnbuckle.

Bourne's head violently bounces off the top turnbuckle and he shakes his head to clear his vision. London takes advantage of the situation and hits an enzuigiri, sending Bourne falls to his knees and London runs the ropes and dropkicks him in the head.

London stands over Bourne and taunts him. Bourne grabs London and rolls him into a pin. London kicks out after a long two count. Bourne immediately stands up and lands a standing moonsault on top of London. He goes for the cover. 1... 2... No! Late kick out by London.

Bourne gets up and lands a 450 springboard splash off the ropes. Bourne pins London by the ring ropes. The Brian Kendrick comes around and pulls Bourne to the floor as the ref is doing a three count.

Mysterio runs around the corner of the ring and hits Kendrick with a head scissors take down into the barricade.

(Crowd cheers for Mysterio)

London gets up while Bourne is still outside the ring. He looks at Bourne, runs to the opposite rope and hits Bourne with a suicide dive. London gets up from the dive holding his arm in pain.

He gets back into the ring and climbs to the top turnbuckle. He points at Bourne (who's face up on the ground outside the ring), and performs a shooting star splash. Just as London is about to land, Bourne rolls out of the way and London hits the floor with a huge impact.

Bourne gets to his feet by pulling himself up the ring apron. He somehow gets to the top turnbuckle and goes for his own shooting star splash. London copies Bourne’s strategy and rolls out of the way at the last second.

Both men are laying motionless on the floor as the referee starts the ten count. He gets to 8 before Bourne rolls onto his front. 9... Bourne gets to his hands and knees. Still no movement from London, although Kendrick is going nuts yelling at London to get up.

Bourne is now on one knee and struggling to get up. He collapses on the floor as the ref gets to 10.

Winner: double count out.

Mysterio and Kendrick help their respective partners to the back.

Backstage once again with Gregory Helms. He's standing with the tag team champions, Robert Roode and James Storm.

Helms:
You guys have held the ECW Epics tag team championship belts since the merger of WWE and TNA. You've successfully defended your tag team belts on several occasions. What's next for Beer Money Inc?

Storm:
Next week on ECW Epics we will be announcing a revolutionary way of determining the new No. 1 contenders for our title belts.

Roode:
Co owners Vince McMahon and Dixie Carter have decided that TNA should keep some of their PPV's during the joint venture, and so instead of having Night Of Champions after The Bash, it will be Victory Road.

Storm:
And that is where we will be defending our tag team titles.

The teams of L.A.X. and The Hart Dynasty walk up to Beer Money Inc.

Tyson Kidd:
Just so you know, it'll be us that take your titles away from you at Victory Road.

Hernandez:
Yeah, you wish little man! Those belts will be proudly around the waists of the Latin American Xchange. For your sake, you better stay out of our way!

The members of all three teams stare each other down as we go to a commercial break.

Main Event: Christian vs. Cactus Jack (Unsanctioned Match)

Display_image

Christian and Cactus approach the ring, one at a time. The mood in the arena is very somber. There’s no ref or time keeper. They tentatively step towards each other.

Cactus Jack tilts his head to the side and points at his face, telling Christian to punch him. Christian delivers a hard right and the two start trading blows. The crowd is really getting behind Christian.

Crowd:
BOO! YEAH! BOO! YEAH!

Cactus gets in a cheap shot and leaves Christian vulnerable to a kendo stick to the stomach. Christian is rolling around the ring in absolute agony.

Cactus climbs to the outside and grabs a steel chair. He climbs back through the ropes and continues the assault. He repeatedly hits Christian with the chair and Christian is yelling out in pain.

After what seems like forever, Tomko emerges from backstage and rushes the ring to aid Christian. Cactus turns to face Tomko, but Tomko lifts Cactus and lands a spinning side slam. Tomko goes over to Christian and helps him to his feet.

While Tomko is bending over to help up Christian he gets hit with a kendo stick between the shoulder blades. Tomko arches his back and falls to his knees, wide eyed and visibly in anguish.

Terry Funk runs down the ramp way and climbs into the ring. He stands between Cactus Jack and Christian. Funk pleads Cactus to stop the attack. Funk says “Mick, I know you’re in there. You have to fight it! Look at what you’re doing!”

Cactus hits Funk with an elbow to the face, then whips him over the top rope. Funk lands awkwardly on the outside.

Cactus suddenly stops and looks at his hands in horror. He realizes what he’s doing and starts punching himself in the head while saying “Bad! Bad! Bad!”

Foley freaks out and sprints up the ramp and backstage while shaking his head in disbelief.

Segment No. 6

Display_image

Christian walks to the back with some help from Tomko as Paul Heyman passes them on the ramp. Heyman gets in the ring and has a microphone with him. Christian and Tomko wait on the stage to see what Heyman has to say.

Heyman:
Last week Suicide was in a match with Chavo Guerrero, in which Suicide sent both of them through an announce table. Now, I’m all for being hardcore. Hell I even promote the use of weapons in a match.

However I can’t have a superstar on my roster that endangers the life of his opponent, let alone himself, when it’s not necessary.

Suicide and Chavo are still recuperating in hospital now as I speak. I don’t condone Suicide’s actions from last week, and as a result he will no longer be a part of my show. I have placed him in the talent exchange program, which means that he will be on another brand, effective after The Bash.

Also due to the talent exchange program between Raw Impact, Smackdown Xplosion, and ECW Epics, starting next week we will have some fresh blood on our roster. I’m proud to say that joining us will be Kofi Kingston, MVP and the Colons!

(Crowd cheers)

Tazz:
That’s huge news Matt! What will this mean for the rest of the superstars in the ECW Epics locker room?

Heyman:
Scheduled for The Bash PPV this Sunday is the Monsters Ball match as well as a tag team match for the Intercontinental championship, but we still don’t know what stipulation the ECW championship match will be under.

I’ve made up my mind. This Sunday we will see Christian defend his ECW title belt against Cactus Jack... IN A SACRAMENTO STREET FIGHT!

Christian swears under his breath and just stands there, glaring at Heyman.

The screen fades to black as Christian is complaining about the match to Tomko.

What Will Happen At The Bash?

Display_image

Striker:
What will happen on Sunday at The Bash? The teams of Mysterio & Bourne and Kendrick & London now stand at one a piece in the lead up to this weekend’s PPV. Which team will emerge the victor?

In the first ever five-way monsters ball match, which superstar will prove that they are in fact the most hardcore in world wrestling today?

Who will show up at the ECW championship street fight match? Will it be Mick Foley or Cactus Jack?

Tune in this Sunday to The Bash to find out!

Thanks for reading this week's edition of ECW Epics!
