The Atlanta Hawks are bringing back part of their past for next season.
Hawks Basketblog's Jaryd Wilson revealed on Thursday morning that the team will bring back an updated version of one of its previous logos. The Hawks' current logo isn't going anywhere, and the throwback look will serve as a secondary logo.

The new secondary Hawks logo pays homage to one of the franchise’s most successful periods, while personifying the team’s aggressive and attacking style of today. The evolved logo features a more fierce Hawks mark which represents the bold moves the franchise has made and continues to make in order to achieve a sustained and high-level of success on and off the court.
Atlanta used the logo from 1972 to 1995. Dominique Wilkins and Spud Webb were among the stars who sported it during that era.
Although the secondary logo won't become official until the summer, the Hawks are going to give fans a preview during Game 6 against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night:
