Los Angeles Kings 5, San Jose Sharks 1, FINAL
The Los Angeles Kings have become just the fourth team in NHL history to overcome a 3-0 series deficit and win a seven-game series.
The Kings scored the final five goals of the game after Matt Irwin gave San Jose a 1-0 lead early in the second period.
Drew Doughty tied the game less than five minutes after Irwin's goal and then Anze Kopitar put his team ahead to stay on a pretty backhand set up by Justin Williams with 1:21 left in the second period.
Tyler Toffoli's goal early in the third period gave the Kings a two-goal lead before empty-net goals by Dustin Brown and Tanner Pearson provided the final margin of victory.
Jonathan Quick made 39 saves to earn the win.
The Kings will now face the Anaheim Ducks in Round 2 of the playoffs. This is the first time these two Pacific Division rivals will meet in the playoffs.
