Lionel Messi Reaches 40 Barcelona Goals for 5th Consecutive Season

Lionel Messi may be having an off season by his standards, having suffered from injury and frequent bouts of sickness, but he's still scoring at a prolific rate.

In fact, FC Barcelona have just congratulated him on reaching 40 goals for his fifth consecutive season.   

Forty goals. Five seasons in a row. Not too shabby, Lionel.
