Houston Coach Surprises Walk-on Kicker and Mom with Scholarship

It’d be easy to just tell a player that he had earned a scholarship, but there’s no fun in that. A coach should be able to have a little fun with his player before revealing the good news.

University of Houston coach Tony Levine called walk-on kicker Kyle Bullard and his mother into the coach’s office. After going on for a little bit, Levine finally told the junior that he was getting a scholarship.

The kicker's reaction was fairly calm, but his mom couldn't contain her excitement.
