Everyonce in a while there comes along a player who everyone loves and is a fan favorite then he slips away into the darkness. Likewise for some players who are one hit wonders. They come around one day and you can't find them the next. These are 5 Cardinals i miss from around baseball.(Reggie Sanders is pictured) I wish I could see them play just one more game in St.Louis. Just one more hit. This will probably never happen but hey I can dream can't I?

Reggie Sanders. Hit 20 homers for 4 different teams just a great, all around player.

Tony Womack was a triples, and stolen base champ and helped the Cardinals to the 2004 World Series were they were swept.

Ya I know he is having a great year so far with the Dodgers(4-1) but i miss him, in a Cardinals uniform specifically.

Jim Edmonds did it all hit for power (382 homers, 1,176 RBI) was a gold glover 8 times, 4 all star selections and a World Series in 2006.

David Eckstien fell from the publics eye after he left the Cardinals in 2008 to play for the Blue Jays with Scott Rolen. He was subsequently traded to the D-Backs midseason and is now with the Padres. Wow thats a long way from the second most popular player in St.Louis in his 3 year stint from 2005-2007. Hard nosed player and i miss him, even though Skip is a better hitter then he ever was at leadoff.

Honerable Mentions
