Late in Barcelona's match against Villarreal, a fan threw a banana at Brazilian Dani Alves as he was about to take a corner.
In what has historically been a show of racism, Alves calmly scoffed at the offending move, picked up the banana, took a bite of it and took his corner kick.
Alves 1. Racism 0.

In the aftermath, Alves opened up about the incident.
Alves on the banana incident: "I've been here 11 years and I've been suffering this the whole time, so I just face it with humour".— AS English (@English_AS) April 27, 2014
Teammate Neymar showed his support for Alves and made his stand against racism on Instagram afterward.
