Watch a Baseball Get Destroyed by 100,000 Pounds of Force

Kyle NewportFeatured Columnist IVSeptember 12, 2016

Occasionally, a baseball player can hit a ball so hard that he literally knocks the cover off of it. Science has given us another way to see what's inside of a baseball.

General Electric took the time to show the world how a baseball handles being crushed by 100,000 pounds of force. Thanks to this experiment, we are able to see all of the materials (cork, yarn, rubber and leather) ooze out as the ball gets crushed.
