My name is Victor, and the fans have voted for my tag "Shake, Rattle and Roll" for the stable of Raider half backs.
I am honored to have been chosen as the winner and would like to thank all the participants.
I am 36 years old and have been a member of the Raider Nation since I was 8. I have had the pleasure of watching great Raider running backs like Mark Van Egan, Kenny King, Marcus Allen, Bo Jackson, Napolean McCallum, Napolean Kaufman, Charlie Gardner and Tyrone Wheatley.
Now we have a new batch of RBs in the Nation, so I felt they needed an old School name that would remind us of the glory years, but hip enough that the young fans could relate too.
This is why I decided on "Shake, Rattle and Roll," a blues rock song written in 1954 by Jesse Stone that has been covered by many artists, including The Beatles.
I believe this tag not only fits the backs collectively, but individually as well.
Shake: Darren McFadden
Darren McFadden is "Shake" due to his ability to make one move and leave the defender wondering, "What just happened," as he runs freely to the endzone.
Rattle: Just Fargas
Justin Fargas stars as "Rattle" due to his reckless behavior as a running back. Announcers often refer to his style of play as being like an old pinball machine as he rattles from defender to defender with no care for his body.
Roll: Michael Bush
Micheal Bush is "Roll" due to his combination of size and speed. He has the ability to roll over any would-be tackler, and I can't wait to see him blast a linebacker at the goal line, a la "Bo knows Bowsworth."
I am looking forward to seeing the Nation's return to glory. Hopefully, the new tag will stick with the team and be heard loud and proud in McAfee Coliseum, and indeed around the nation via the media.
