The football world was in mourning on Friday after Barcelona announced the death of their former coach, Tito Vilanova, aged just 45.
Vilanova had been battling throat cancer and, as per the Daily Mail, was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery on Thursday after his condition worsened.
Barcelona announced his death on Friday through their Twitter account.

Following that, the tributes poured in for Vilanova, who took Barcelona to the Spanish title in the 2012/13 season before resigning his position as a result of his health.
