Video of Jordin Tootoo Making a Young Hockey Fan's Day Brightens Ours

There is almost too much wonderful going down in this video of Jordin Tootoo giving his stick to a young fan, who will never forget the gesture.

Next Impulse Sports' Pete Blackburn spotted this video of Tootoo, who is currently playing with the Grand Rapids Griffins, the Red Wings' AHL affiliate.

Walking to the locker room, Tootoo ran into an adorable little fan who, recognizing the player, exclaimed with an outstretched hand, "Tootoo!"

QMI Agency, via the Toronto Sunnotes that Tootoo didn't make the Red Wing's postseason roster, but he is certainly making the most of his time in Grand Rapids.

The 31-year-old does more than bump fists with the boy, offering a familiar "What's up buddy?" That's when he decides this is the perfect moment to garner a fan for life.

He gives the boy his stick and declares, "That's all yours."

Is it just us, or did this day suddenly get a whole lot better?

The kid, who is already as happy as can be, is rocketed well past jubilation into another realm of elation. There is no way to not enjoy the sight of this kid or his full-body laugh as he holds his newest and rather priceless treasure.

We imagine that stick will follow this young fan for the foreseeable future and will rarely be missing from his sight. If we were the betting sort, we would wager that stick now has a comfortable spot in bed right next to a soundly sleeping hockey fan.

The Grand Rapids Press' Peter J. Wallner put it rather nicely: "Jordin Tootoo of the Grand Rapids Griffins has a reputation as a tough hockey player, but he also knows how to make his young fans happy."

That rough exterior wasn't fooling one fan, who now has a remarkable memory he will never forget. More than that, though, he gave us an "Aww, shucks" video to savor for the moment, reminding us that it's not all that hard to yield truly wonderful results.
