Minnesota Vikings Waive Three NFL Rookies

The Minnesota Vikings tightened up their roster before Training Camp, cutting their roster down to 82.

In the process, the team waived Virginia Tech quarterback Sean Glennon, Fresno State offensive linemen Bobby Lepori and Alabama Tight End Nick Walker. All three were un-drafted rookie free agents.  

***Signed several days after the 2009 NFL Draft.

The NFL has a roster limit of 80, but drafted rookies do not count against the salary cap of the Minnesota Vikings until they are signed to contracts with the team.

Releasing the three men Friday was made in preperation for Training Camp, which will begin at the end of July in Mankato, Minnesota.
