Rusty Hardins’ Press Release Isn’t being released ....in its’ entirety.
By Patrick Read
Here is exactly what the Rusty Hardin release says regarind Roger Clemens and Mindy McCready. Consider the language used, and then consider what is being reported by your national media source….verbatim.
__________________STATEMENT FROM RUST HARDIN:
“Mindy McCready is a longtime family friend of Roger Clemens and the Clemens family. At no time did Roger engage in any kind of inappropriate or improper relationship with her.
The Daily News has chosen to report anonymous allegations that are completely unfounded, have no basis in fact, and have nothing to do with Roger's baseball career or the issue of steroid use in baseball.”
_______________________________________________________________________________________________
Rusty Hardin completely and totally just called out the NY Daily News. No where in this release does it mention the phrase "sexual relationships." The use of that phrase is an attempt by writers to further abash your opinion of Mr. Clemens, and liken it more to Bill Clinton, who denied an affair but was found guilty thanks to a certain personal tape recorder.
Hardin expunged the Duke Lacrosse Team from “false allegations” of rape; which were known to be so true by society, especially sports writers. The professional work by Mr. Hardin in the Duke case resulted in a Prosecutor being disbarred for with holding evidence that would have cleared the youths of all charges.
The latest claim regarding Mindy McCready reported by the Daily News as “not being refuted,”and that is suppose to be the proof? It is all fluff, and no substance.
If one is advised to remain silent by her attorney, then how can one refute anything? The REAL question is whether or not it can be proven.
Some writers say they have proof, and then don't back it up. They don't prove it through either research, presentable witnesses, quotes, tape, excerpts, photos, "Hotel Managers", "Yankee Videographers" or "Police Reports" etc. etc. etc.
· On June 22, When interviewed by the Post Chronicle, Mindy McCready denied the affair with Clemens.
The Daily News flopped on their McCready story, just like they did regarding Shaun Kelley, Kelly Blair, Jeff Bagwell and Andy Pettitte. Each of these individuals was supposed to be damning to Roger Clemens –according to the Daily Screws.
· Shaun Kelley didn’t give PEDs to Clemens and passed a Federally Administered Polygraph as proof.
· Kelly Blair also denied the Daily News claims that he was involved.
· Jeff Bagwell denied ties to PEDS and Clemens as well.
· Now McCready, who flat out denied the affair, slams the Daily News claim that was so irresponsibly reported.
McCready's mother, Gayle Inge, tried to set the record straight, and said the relationship was platonic,
"They met here (in Fort Myers).”I think it was at a karaoke bar, but I couldn’t say for sure. They were friends. That’s about all..."
But the frenzied media circuit chose not to believe her, instead they wanted to believe their own writers subjective deduction of truth, probably so they could make more money off of tragedy while ignoring the truth.
A multitude of new organizations now report that Clemens may be guilty of the crime of statutory rape, by way of the Daily News, and its crack-pot “Clemens I Team,” whose key word is “I” as in
- – “look at how much money I will make from this trash I write.”
The Daily News reported that they even “confirmed” the affair because McCready couldn’t refute the tabloid-esque report, all the while other news organizations stated that “Clemens even admitted to the affair.” Which again is false – per the above release.
· One Can Not Refute Anything When They Are Told To Not Comment on it
· To refute something would mean to comment on it, as in “No, Roger and I were friends
The Daily News, motivated by money , accused Clemens of statutory rape
The Only Rape Involved in the Scandal
Did proof matter in McNamee's rape Charges being dropped? McNamee said he "did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. St. Petersburg", but does that make it true?
· The Hotel Manger saw McNamee and the victim having sex in the hot tub, and heard the victim say, "Help me."
· The Yankee Videographer even heard her say, "No" to McNamee.
McNamee claimed to not know the videographer, even though he played ball with him in college, and was a co-worker with him on the Yankees.
· A responding paramedic said she was given a near fatal dose of the date rape drug, GHB;
o which some attorneys refer to as a possible attempted murder.
· The manager told McNamee to get out of the pool, McNamee replied, "What, do you mean now?"
The St. Petersburg Police found a bottle of water next to the pool, spiked with GHB.
The police said McNamee lied to them to get out of the trouble posed him. This "sexual assault charge" shows a propensity to lie, especially to investigative authorities, a propensity towards apathy (sexual assault), and shows the reason his wife left him.
o Proof-Proof.
Radomski had gotten the GHB (date rape drug) from Pete Rose Jr. in 2001. The rape occurred in 2001. Rose was found guilty, and did jail time and provided police his phone records which showed various calls to and from Radomski – who was later convicted as well. Radomski seems to always be involved in some manner whenever McNamee is in trouble.
The irony
It is ironic that Rusty worked for Ken Starr as a Federal Prosecutor which indicted Bill Clinton, who was then impeached for perjury and obstruction all because of a tape recording.
Congress aside, now it is McNamee who may indeed "have his lunch eaten for him" as result of Emery's ignorance. Incidentally, there were taped conversations involved in Clemens case too.
o We only heard part of the aired tape.
o The other PIs interview was taped and released in full.
Also ironic is Lanny Breuer, representing Clemens, also defended Bill Clinton too. As a result of his work the US Senate decided not to impeach the Defamed President.
Of McNamee, Breuer said, “He is a deluded and deranged man. He is a disgruntled ex-employee who has a score to settle. He has been planning to set Clemens up since 2001 when he threatened to sue Clemens and has now manufactured evidence from that same year. He also gave his statements in the same month that he was fired.”
Emery’s strategy
It seems as though Richard Emery may have had knowledge of this “UnMcNameed Source of Information’s claim” prior to it’s being released; for which he applauds in nature, saying “It is about Clemens Public Character, and its’ value. So if he isn’t such a family man, and isn’t always honest then it is fair game.”
Really?
o What about his salary as a pitcher?
o was he paid that much to be a good family man?
As much as Emery may want this to be about Clemens' personal life, the New York Yankees did NOT pay Clemens $ 28 million because he was married, and had a cheery life. They didn't pay him because he liked to go out once in a while, or play golf, nor to be a Saint.
o Steinbrenner paid him $ 28 million to pitch
o Which he can't do anymore because of the "allegations in the Mitchell Report."
o His professional career took a hit as result of the Brian McNamee’s allegations.
Richard Emery's plan to defend his client is to further defame to the point of no public value, while defending his client for Defamation? If Clemens does not pitch at all – the defamation worth will be what the NY Yankees paid him TO PITCH.
o $$ 28,000,022 per year, or $549,020 per hour!!
o What if he could have gone another 2 years?
The profit the media made from Clemens being defamed must have been big. Ratings during the Clemens Hearings were higher than Boston’s World Series.
Only that which can not hold its own water, leaks to big media.
The Daily News and Democrat Media Star called - McNamee may well be collapsing in on himself Ladies, and Gentlemen; and look out because a final flurry of allegations may be on the horizon.
Anonymous sources are consistent with the likes of “Jerry Springer.” Why, just today, an un-named source said that "Mindy is on Mars looking for Mork. NaNu.- NaNu" What a crock. And these guys are just as likely to ambush as well.
The Daily News used “unMcNameed sources” in their Shaun Kelley story, Kelly Blair story, Jeff Bagwell story and Mindy McCready story too, all were false reports.
ESPN's First Take, Skip Bayless and many like him are defending “McNamee - the liar,” for his habitual lying, all while admiring his allegations / lies. Hmmph! Maybe Skip is really just giddy over his commission take for next months pay instead.
o Controversy sells and bringing down Clemens is more profitable than doing the same to McNamee – we already know he is a dirt bag.
Proof positive.
If the Department of Justice followed its normal policy of "prosecuting the distributors of illegal drugs" (Mitchell Report, page 340. Top of Page) then Roger Clemens would not have had to seek out justice at his own expense.
More interesting is the fact that McNamee was named in the Grimsley affidavit, and has thus been lying to the Feds since 2005 - which is the real reason for immunity.
Clemens has been under investigation since 2005 to no avail, and still no proof other than the words of a drug dealing, liar. Radomski was found guilty of money laundering, a classic RICO charge – one which mobsters are accused of frequently.
McNamee has said, "I was going to bring Roger down," and in the past, said "I didn't trust Roger," and he threatened to sue Roger in 2001 because Clemens told McNamee that he could not use his picture to promote McNamee’s then online vitamin company, Invite Health.
Incidentally, McNamee said in his deposition that he took vitamins from this business and used them to pay Radomski for thousand of dollars worth of PEDs. We are expected to believe this too.
Mitchell said neither Radomski, nor McNamee would benefit financially from their statements in the Report.
McNamee said that he turned down millions for requests for media interviews.
o How many has he done now?
He also sold Clemens collector items on e-bay with his signature attached, stating “Ly 0.” How much did he get for that?
Radomski is writing a book on his part in tainting the game – a financial benefit. McNamee swore to Congress that he wouldn’t write a book, so I wonder when his will be released. The reason McNamee lied? Well, he is free isn’t he?
Mitchell really said to Congress, "Well, yes, I know there is no way to prove performance was actually enhanced. But (PEDs) are known to give one a Psychological Edge. Like when you go to give a speech and you know you're going to do really good." Really?
In that case, maybe Emery could use some PEDs then - where is McNamee again? Radomski, anyone?

Clemens is not accused in 2004 when he won the triple crown of pitching, though in his twilight. He is not accused of using in 2004 when winning the Cy Young at age 44 with less then a 2 ERA, the 2nd lowest in his career. But in one of his higher ERA years he is accused of enhanced performance? Lawsuit should continue. No proof, all fluff.
