At 10-11 in the early going of 2014, things could be a great deal worse for the Padres. Tyson Ross and Andrew Cashner have been the brightest spots in a relatively young squad.
Of course, you can’t lump the entirety of success on the health of those two arms, so the Padres are going to need others to step up and deliver in a big way.
Biggest on the list of Padres needs is for budding star Jedd Gyorko to cut down on the strikeouts and increase the quality at-bats.
