AC Milan Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of April 21
AC Milan have now won five in a row domestically for the first time since November 2011.
The recent optimism surrounding the club is warranted. They can now make a serious push for a possible Europa League spot with important matches against Roma and Inter coming up.
With that being said, the summer transfer window looms right around the corner, and it will undoubtedly be a prime opportunity for the club to both upgrade a roster that needs plenty of help and give their supporters reason to hope.
Here are the latest credible transfer rumours surrounding the Rossoneri.
Cagliari Set Astori Price
The ex-Milan youth player has been followed by Milan along with other big clubs in Italy, and could become a summer signing as the Rossoneri will look to bolster their defensive unit.
Ajax Targeting Mastour
The Italian forward has been praised for his flair and fantastic dribbling ability, and has already been doing commercial work for Red Bull.
De Sciglio Would Leave If Asked to
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan full-back Mattia De Sciglio would leave the club if asked to, as he isn't getting consistent space in his usual left-back role, and is worried that his starting spot on the Italian national team might be in jeopardy.
Urby Emanuelson has carved out a niche on the left side, while Daniele Bonera has been used as a right-back recently in an effort to improve one of the shakiest defensive units in Serie A.
Nocerino to Stay with West Ham
According to The Sun (via Football Italia) Antonio Nocerino will be bought out by West Ham once his loan deal from Milan ends this summer.
The Italian midfielder hasn't adapted with the Rossoneri since Zlatan Ibrahimovic was in the squad and seems to have found a new home in London.
Simon Kjaer Flattered by Milan Link
Simon Kjaer has told Danish media (via Football Italia) that he is flattered by recent reports which have linked him to Milan.
The 25-year-old Lille central defender has played in Serie A with two clubs, Palermo and Roma, but moved on as he couldn't quite adapt to life with the Giallorossi.
Expect Milan to be actively searching for defenders this summer. Kjaer could be a viable option.
