Philadelphia Flyers 4, New York Rangers 2, FINAL
The Philadelphia Flyers scored a comeback win over the New York Rangers to even the series at 1-1.
The Rangers dominated the first 14 minutes of the game and led 2-0 on goals by Martin St. Louis and Benoit Pouliot.
But the Flyers stormed back and scored the remaining four goals of the game. First Jakub Voracek got the Flyers on the board with 5:46 left in the first period. In the second period, it was all Flyers with Jason Akeson and Luke Schenn scoring to five the Flyers a 3-2 lead. Wayne Simmonds scored an empty net goal to clinch the win for Philadelphia in the final minute.
The Flyers ended a nine-game losing streak at Madison Square Garden.
The series resumes Tuesday night in Philadelphia.
