Oliver Holt of the Mirror Talks About Life as a Football Writer

Will Tidey@willtideySenior Manager, GlobalApril 20, 2014

It's "Inside the Football Media" week at Bleacher Report, and to kick it off, I invited one of the most respected sports writers in the country, Oliver Holt, to open up about a profession so many aspire to.

Ollie is currently chief sports writer at the Mirror, having started out at the Liverpool Echo before spending time as the motor racing correspondent for The Times, ultimately transitioning to football.

Holt signed for the Mirror in 2002, and his enviable remit these days is to travel the world covering elite sporting events.

Watch the above clip to hear Ollie talk about the best bits of the job, how he reached the pinnacle in such a competitive industry and the most interesting people he's interviewed—plus much more.
