Boston refused to fall out of contention in this one, but in the end, Baltimore's bullpen was able to neatly finish the game out.

With the loss, Boston falls to 7-10 on the season, which currently puts them 3.5 games behind the Yankees in the AL East.

Baltimore now moves to 8-7 in 2014 and have a winning record for the first time since opening day.

Boston's pitching staff continues to struggle; they allowed 15 hits to the Orioles. This can be partially chalked up to less-than-stellar fielding as the Red Sox seemed lacking in chemistry, with multiple miscommunications on the day.

Baltimore maintained a bend but don't break mentality throughout the night, allowing just four runs on 11 hits.
