Baseball and chicks: Does it get any better?

With Easter Sunday on the approach, social media geniuses working for the Oakland Athletics put together a tidy, perfect little Vine for the occasion.

Advertising their upcoming game against the Houston Astros on Sunday, the A’s media team deftly utilized stop-and-switch magic to make a baby chick pop out of a baseball.

Aww. Isn’t that adorable?

Even PETA might be hard-pressed to find an issue with this bit of silly goodness, although I wouldn’t put it past them to find something wrong with the video. They’d likely say the chick was jostled, and the Coco Crisp commemorative bowl infers the bird’s eventual demise in the name of crispy tenders.

Alas, for those of us who can enjoy the simple things, this Vine stands as a huge win. The A’s are 10-5 and their social media team is humming along in midseason form.

Bravo, Oakland. Hopefully you can use some of this good juju to crack the Astros.
