Los Angeles Kings vs. San Jose Sharks Game 1: Live Score and Highlights

With plenty of anticipation after their seven-game playoff series last year, the San Jose Sharks took Game 1 of their Pacific Division playoff against the Los Angeles Kings by a score of 6-3 on Thursday at SAP Center.

Though the Kings came out with their physical game dialed all the way up, the Sharks were able to build a 5-0 lead through two periods and chase Jonathan Quick before the Kings started to battle back.

A three-goal effort in the third put an effort into the home side, showed that Antti Niemi can be beaten, and set the stage for Game 2 on Sunday.

The home team won every game when these two teams met in the 2013 playoffs. This year begins the same way.

Final Score: San Jose Sharks 6 - Los Angeles Kings 3
